ABOUT

 

Daniel Chuba is an American filmmaker and painter. He received a BFA in painting from the University of Michigan and an MFA in experimental animation from CalArts.

 

After CalArts he continued to work with both traditional and digital media.  Professionally he has  produced digital animation and visual effects on over 100 major motion pictures including such diverse films as "Romeo + Juliet", "Natural Born Killers", "The Secret Life Of Bees", "The Fast & The Furious" and "42".

 

In 2015 he founded Legacy Classics Entertainment to focus solely on family and educational entertainment based on award winning children’s literature and illustration.

 

His recent work includes writing and producing the english adaptaion for “Big Fish & Begonia”, producing and directing “Blueberries For Sal” based on the Caldecott Award winning book by Robert McCloskey and writing and producing an animated series based on the life and work of photographer Gordon Parks.

 

He paints and draws everyday, inspired by both the urban and natural landscapes of California.
